Interested in Becoming a Business Donor?
The Opera House Players, Inc. (OHP), a 501(c)(3) non-profit Community Theater is seeking relationships with business donors
who want to support the services that the OHP provide to the community and/or enhance their image in the community we serve. Our mission is to provide Broadway-quality musical theater at a price that seniors, children and others in the community can afford. We also provide the opportunity for talented residence to display their talent and build their skills in musical theater.
The majority of our patrons come from as far north as Springfield, Massachusetts, as far south as Manchester, Connecticut, as far west as Granby, Massachusetts and as far east as Somers, Connecticut. We sell approximately 5,000 tickets per season. Our theater is located in the center of Broad Brook, Connecticut in a beautiful Victorian building built in the 1890’s. We seat 160 people.
We are celebrating our 41st year in Northern Connecticut and have the operating cash flow and business model necessary to sustain us for years to come. Our need is for support on capital projects that will continue to make our theatre safe, attractive and comfortable for our patrons and performers.
Our significant donors are acknowledged in all of our newsletters, program guides, publicity appearances, at each performance and in prominent plaques and signs in the theater.
Our current needs are:
- Improve our sound system
- Upholstering our seats
- A new furnace
- Rear entry to our stage
- Renovation of our bathrooms
- Resurfacing our stage
- Noise reduction and better heat and cooling distribution in our HVAC system
Another option is to sponsor one of our shows. Our show budget is $12,500. If you make this donation, we will provide an exclusive dress rehearsal performance of the show for up to 160 of your employees.
We are open to other ideas as well and look forward to your support.
Sincerely, Bill Stepansky
